Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vitals.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications, and prepare injections as directed by providers.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during procedures and examinations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and charts in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient visits.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding appointments, billing, and insurance information.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is highly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
