Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vital signs.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and maintain accurate medical records in the EMR system.
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk reception area efficiently.
- Assist providers with minor procedures and patient education.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Ensure the examination rooms are clean, stocked, and sanitized at all times.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) software.
