Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals collection, and medical history documentation with high accuracy.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Order and process laboratory specimens and perform basic in-office testing as directed.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently and maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centric care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings if required.
