Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and medical measurements for patients.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready.
- Manage patient intake and registration processes, verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays accurately.
- Administer medications as directed by providers and document administration in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood draws and urine samples, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and charts.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Medical Assisting from an accredited institution.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred; BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting.
- Ability to work independently and effectively during night shifts.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
