Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments under provider supervision
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and post-care instructions
- Coordinate with nursing staff and specialists for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in urgent care or hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks during high-volume shifts
