Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and patient assessments during overnight shifts
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations following established protocols
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing with precision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Sterilize equipment and prepare exam rooms for next-day operations
- Coordinate with nursing staff for seamless patient handoffs
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced medical setting
- PA state medical assistant license in good standing
- BLS/CPR certification with current AHA credentials
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/Meditech preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail during overnight hours
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills for diverse patient populations
