Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy servicesAdminister medications and injections per physician orders
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Sterilize equipment and maintain exam rooms
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Michigan Medical Assistant certification (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Pass background check and drug screening
