Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations during overnight hours
- Perform accurate vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy for emergency and scheduled patients
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Respond to urgent patient inquiries and triage overnight concerns
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Valid CPR/BLS certification and Pennsylvania phlebotomy license
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
- Strong communication skills for diverse patient interactions
- Flexibility to cover rotating overnight shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Experience with emergency room or urgent care protocols
