Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and laboratory specimen collection
- Manage patient records using Epic EHR system with precision
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and health maintenance
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient/hospital setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and EKG skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
