Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and obtain vital signs accurately under supervision.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments in a calm, professional manner.
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood draws and EKGs.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (3x12 or 4x10 schedule).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
