Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and confidentially.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Vitals & Measurements: Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) and update patient charts in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Phlebotomy & Lab Work: Perform blood draws and collect specimens for laboratory testing following strict safety protocols.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized exam room environment for each patient visit.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-visit instructions and post-visit care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with current certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work night shifts (e.g., 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) consistently.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Skills: Proficiency in phlebotomy, EKG administration, and electronic medical records software.
