Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, accurate vital signs, and health history assessments.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and assist with procedures.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a provider.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized examination room environment.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with strict adherence to privacy regulations (HIPAA).
- Communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff regarding care plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current State of Florida license or certification.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred, but training available.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficient in computer skills and EHR systems.
