Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Greet patients and visitors with a professional demeanor, managing check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, ensuring patient comfort and privacy during procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documenting vital signs and patient history.
- Prepare exam rooms and medical equipment for daily operations, adhering to strict sterilization protocols.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and laboratory specimen processing for the night shift.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding medications, instructions, and hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely, adhering to proper body mechanics.
