Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist providers with patient examinations, take vital signs, and document patient history accurately.
- Procedures: Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic lab procedures as directed by the physician.
- Administrative Duties: Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and updating electronic health records (EHR).
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock examination rooms, medical supplies, and equipment to ensure readiness.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA certification.
- Licensure: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or urgent care setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in phlebotomy and EKG administration.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients of all ages.
