As a Night Shift Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care during off-hours. You will work closely with our nursing staff and providers to maintain continuity of care in a calm, supportive setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vitals measurement, and medical history documentation.
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments as directed by physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures in a sterile and professional manner.
- Maintain patient charts and electronic health records (EHR) with strict adherence to privacy laws.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment to ensure infection control standards are met.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage incoming patient calls efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in urgent care or hospital.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively during night shifts.
