Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital sign assessments, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient examinations, minor procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment, ensuring strict adherence to sterilization protocols.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying insurance information and updating electronic health records (EHR).
- Collect and process laboratory specimens according to strict regulatory standards.
- Provide clear patient education regarding medications, follow-up care, and home health instructions.
- Maintain a safe and organized environment for patients and staff during the night shift.
Qualifications
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Must be fully available for Night Shift schedules (e.g., 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting patients.
