Our mission is to provide accessible, high-quality healthcare to our community. As a night shift Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring patient care continuity during evening hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and medical history intake.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Perform venipuncture (phlebotomy) and EKG testing as required.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments to ensure a safe environment.
- Manage patient flow, check-in, and check-out processes efficiently.
- Collect and process lab specimens according to strict protocols.
- Communicate test results and treatment plans clearly to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced night environment.
- Valid Texas Driver's License (not required but often preferred for facility access).
