Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Prepare and maintain sterile exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies
- Manage patient records using EHR systems (Epic/NextGen experience preferred)
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with nursing and ancillary staff for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certificate or associate degree (CMA/RMA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification and Texas MA license
- Proficiency in venipuncture, EKG, and clinical documentation
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to work night shifts (7pm-7am)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Experience with EHR systems and electronic medical records
