Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Assessment: Perform patient intake, obtain vital signs, and document medical history accurately and efficiently.
- Procedural Assistance: Assist physicians and nurses with procedures, including phlebotomy, EKGs, and minor medical treatments.
- Inventory Management: Maintain exam rooms and medical supply inventories, ensuring supplies are restocked and sterile.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and clinical staff, answering questions and ensuring patient comfort.
- Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and hospital safety standards.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification required.
- Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
