Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vital sign measurements.
- Perform basic clinical procedures such as blood draws, injections, and EKGs under supervision.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and maintain strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Greet patients and manage front desk reception duties, including scheduling and check-ins.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized examination room environment.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during clinical procedures and patient rounds.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as insurance verification and processing medical paperwork.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy and attention to detail in data entry.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
