Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with check-in procedures, measure vital signs, and prepare them for examinations by physicians.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately, and handle insurance verification.
- Lab Work: Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood, and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Assisting Providers: Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certification: Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred; candidates without certification must be willing to obtain one within 6 months.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical software.
- Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
