Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in patients warmly, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for provider visits.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, including recording vital signs and EKGs.
- Perform basic phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as trained.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
- Manage patient flow to ensure minimal wait times and optimal clinic efficiency.
- Assist with administrative duties, including phone triage and insurance verification.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Medical Assisting is a plus.
- No prior medical experience required—we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient empathy and communication.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
