Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with gowns, drapes, and positioning.
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and licensed providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including urine analysis and blood draws.
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms for cleanliness and functionality.
- Update and file patient medical records, including charting in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, answering questions and providing instructions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred, but not required for candidates willing to train.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with technology.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Reliable transportation is required.
