Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient charts, schedule appointments, and assist with billing and coding procedures.
- Clinical Assistance: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist providers with minor procedures.
- Phlebotomy: Draw blood samples for lab tests following strict safety protocols.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and medical staff to ensure clear understanding of care plans.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We provide on-the-job training for the right candidate.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred.
- Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask in a busy environment, and a compassionate demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- License: Valid driver’s license is required for travel between departments.
