Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify personal information, and prepare them for examinations.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during clinical procedures and examinations.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as directed.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) accurately and maintain strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and prescription refills.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or MA) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical or urgent care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in using computerized medical software and EHR systems.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
