Responsibilities

  • Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) and record findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
  • Administer injections, perform phlebotomy, and conduct EKGs as required.
  • Manage patient intake, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and collecting co-pays.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, answering questions and providing pre and post-procedure instructions.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is preferred; new graduates with externship experience will be considered.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.) is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
