Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate laboratory orders and specimen processing
- Support front desk operations including scheduling and billing verification
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- High school diploma or equivalent with accredited medical assistant program
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- North Carolina MA license (if applicable)
