Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories, vitals, and treatment plans in EHR systems
- Perform clinical tasks including injections, phlebotomy, and ECGs
- Manage inventory and sterilization of medical equipment per OSHA standards
- Coordinate patient education materials and follow-up communications
- Support front desk operations including scheduling and insurance verification
- Maintain HIPAA compliance for all patient data
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Ohio BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent phlebotomy and injection technique
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends as needed
