As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in our clinical operations, ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and record patient data accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, preparing instruments and ensuring patient comfort.
- Prepare and administer injections and medications as directed by physicians.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical histories and verifying insurance information.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as EKGs and urinalysis, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing and administrative staff to optimize patient flow and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends or evenings.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
