Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vitals checks with accuracy and care.
- Assist physicians and providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments to ensure a safe environment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) and ensure documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Coordinate with insurance companies to verify patient benefits and process claims.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is a plus.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
