Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, including medical history reviews and accurate vital sign measurements.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform venipuncture and point-of-care testing (POCT) with high accuracy.
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Maintain and update patient records in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Provide clear patient education regarding medications, treatments, and aftercare.
- Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure efficient patient flow.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or NCMA preferred).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Professional demeanor and a compassionate approach to patient care.
