Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight monitoring.
- Prepare patients for examinations by escorting them to the exam room and gathering medical history.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures as needed.
- Perform basic laboratory duties, including blood draws (phlebotomy) and EKGs.
- Maintain and update patient records in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system accurately and confidentially.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering patient inquiries and coordinating appointments.
- Ensure the exam rooms are clean, stocked, and sanitized according to hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a busy medical environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary medical training a plus.
