Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight, ensuring accuracy and comfort.
- Prepare patients for examination by the physician or nurse practitioner.
- Assist providers with minor procedures, injections, and patient treatments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Administer immunizations and perform basic lab tests as directed by the provider.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and answering patient calls.
- Provide patient education and demonstrate excellent customer service at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting is preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid California driver’s license and proof of insurance.
