Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and optimize clinical outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, vital signs, and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Georgia (or compact state eligibility).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- CPR certification and proof of immunizations as required by facility policy.
