Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify demographic information accurately upon arrival.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
- Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment and stocking supplies.
- Collect and process blood samples, perform EKGs, and prepare lab specimens.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and provide health education.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
