Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Manage patient records and electronic health documentation
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean exam rooms
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Coordinate with nursing staff for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital setting
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and EKG skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Georgia state license in good standing
