Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient vitals, measurements, and intake screenings to ensure comprehensive medical records.
- Assist providers with examinations, minor procedures, and treatments in a clinical setting.
- Perform and process phlebotomy and other diagnostic specimen collection according to strict laboratory standards.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, updating patient information and documenting care accurately.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and laboratory follow-ups to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment in strict compliance with infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members regarding care plans.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current certification as a CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
