Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories and update electronic health records
- Administer injections and perform basic laboratory tests
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Strong communication skills and cultural competence
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- High school diploma or equivalent required
