Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, weight, temperature) and record accurate data in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure medical equipment is ready for patient use.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, minor procedures, and clinical treatments.
- Manage patient intake, including verifying insurance information, updating medical histories, and completing necessary paperwork.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians and under strict supervision.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments, referrals, and prescription refills.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- One to two years of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar) is a plus.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality.
