Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vitals monitoring (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) with extreme accuracy.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with examinations, procedures, and treatments in a professional manner.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers, strictly following safety protocols.
- Maintain and update patient medical records and electronic health records (EHR) with 100% data integrity.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as required.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitized clinical environment to prevent infection spread.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service to ensure high satisfaction scores.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) is required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information to patients clearly.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance.
