In this role, you will be the vital link between our patients and our clinical staff, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and escort them to examination rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with history taking and changing gowns.
- Perform basic laboratory tests (e.g., urine analysis, blood draws) and sterilize medical equipment.
- Manage front-desk administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and answering incoming calls.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures as directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and charts in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting is preferred but not required for highly motivated candidates.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
