Responsibilities

  • Perform Clinical Duties: Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, prepare treatment rooms, and sterilize medical instruments.
  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients, verify demographics, and maintain a welcoming, professional environment throughout their visit.
  • Vital Signs & Admin: Accurately measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and update electronic health records (EHR) efficiently.
  • Phlebotomy & Lab: Collect blood samples and perform basic lab tests as directed by the provider.
  • Medication Support: Prepare and administer medications under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels and assist in ordering medical supplies and equipment.
  • Emergency Response: Handle patient inquiries and assist in emergency situations as required by protocol.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred; new graduates with externship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
