Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures with precision and care.
- Perform and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight, ensuring accuracy.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers and maintain proper documentation.
- Handle front desk operations including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance eligibility, and answering inquiries.
- Assist with basic laboratory tests and specimen collection, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
