Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including medical history and vital signs collection.
- Assist providers during examinations and clinical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in electronic health records (EHR).
- Handle incoming calls and patient inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Medical Assisting required.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or eligibility for certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications preferred.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
