Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Communicate patient needs and changes in condition to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Prepare and serve meals to patients according to their dietary requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or stretchers.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
