Responsibilities
- Provide direct and compassionate patient care, monitoring vital signs and assessing patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient information accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and disease management.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and code blue situations within the unit.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting (med-surg or ICU preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with electronic medical records.
