Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for examinations, assist physicians with procedures, and take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight).
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, update Electronic Health Records (EHR), and schedule appointments.
- Lab Procedures: Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood (phlebotomy), and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Communication: Educate patients on treatment plans and medications; act as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries.
- Inventory: Maintain and restock examination rooms, medical supplies, and instruments to ensure a sterile environment.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Current Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical software.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
