Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, medical history reviews, and vital signs measurements.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment.
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and perform basic phlebotomy as required.
- Coordinate laboratory specimens and manage specimen transport protocols.
- Handle front desk duties including appointment scheduling and insurance verification.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and office safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Medical Assisting (CMA, RMA, or MA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused demeanor.
- Ability to lift patients and stand for extended periods during shifts.
