Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vitals checks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage medical supplies.
- Handle confidential medical records and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and provide necessary educational resources.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and strict infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is required.
- CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service oriented mindset.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records software.
