Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations) and accurately record patient data.
- Greet patients warmly and complete registration forms to ensure a smooth intake process.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and clinical procedures.
- Maintain examination rooms by sterilizing equipment, restocking supplies, and ensuring cleanliness.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform basic point-of-care testing as directed.
- Provide clear patient education on medications, dietary restrictions, and post-care instructions.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations and hospital safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a CMA (American Medical Technologists) or RMA (AMT) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong bedside manner.
- Ability to multitask and maintain high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
